To highlight and document a variety of employer engagement activities utilized by community college programs, the National Center for Innovation in Career and Technical Education (NCICTE) conducted case studies of nine college-employer partnerships that are preparing students in the high-demand industry sectors of health sciences, information technology, and manufacturing. Based on the case studies, this report defines three phases of employer engagement in college-employer partnerships and describes the employer engagement activities that have been used by the nine college-employer partnerships in each of the three phases: Getting Started; Implementation; and Sustainability.
