Yichen Zhang is a senior research health economist in RTI Health Care Financing & Payment program. She works on the Risk Adjustment for Market Exchange and Oncology related payment model field. Before joining RTI, Yichen was a health economist and principal investigator (PI) at Harvard Medical School Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She did quantitative analyses on multiple projects for top oncology providers, such as developing risk adjustment and attribution method for Alliance of Dedicated Cancer Center (ADCC), constructing oncology provider End-of-Life quality measure matrix for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Ms. Zhang has broad empirical modeling and analytical skills, including comparison group methods, multivariate regressions, longitudinal analysis, panel data methodology, quasi-experimental designs, survival analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis and policy evaluation. She has published in peer reviewed journals such as the Journal of Oncology Practice, Journal of Palliative Medicine, The Quality Management Journal, and The Milbank Quarterly.
