Robert Bailey directs and manages projects in health IT and health information exchange (HIE). He has directed projects to enable the exchange of health information across state lines, supporting multistate groups working on concrete, replicable solutions to privacy and security challenges.

Mr. Bailey has managed technical assistance and policy research projects for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. He is an expert in survey research, with more than 20 years of experience with projects involving health, finances, community development, epidemiology, and drug abuse treatment.

He has also developed case studies of innovative uses of HIE for public health and conducted a conference on patient engagement in HIE.
