Keith Richards is a full stack software developer in RTI’s Center for Data Science, where he works with researchers, statisticians, and data scientists to turn theoretical concepts into tangible applications. He leverages modern software engineering patterns and principles to develop robust, reliable software products and applications.
Mr. Richards has designed and developed software products to solve complex problems across a vast problem domain. He is a core contributor in the development of RTI’s Call for Service (CFS) Analytics application, overseeing development of new features and providing technical project management and mentorship. Mr. Richards serves as principal engineer on a health economics microsimulation platform, consisting of population generation, complications microsimulation, and statistical analysis components. He also oversaw user interface development for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Data Archive (SAHMDA) online analysis tool.
Prior to his professional software development career, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps where he worked as a cryptologic linguist, leading a team of signals intelligence analysts in collecting and analyzing communications in Arabic. He was honored with a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in 2014.
