With expertise in polymer chemistry, business development, and leadership, Jeff Mecham plays a key role on our newly formed team focused on engineered systems. He designs and synthesizes polymers and particles for a variety of applications, including oil and gas recovery, automotive and aerospace technology, and drug delivery.
Dr. Mecham joined RTI in 2015. He is a former research faculty member at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and has held leadership positions in research and development in several private-sector biotechnology and nanotechnology companies. In 2012, he founded Insight Materials, which focused on polymeric materials consulting and production for agriculture, energy, and environmental remediation.
