Getty Kasole is the lead advisor for the Power Africa Off-grid Project in Congo. She manages all PAOP activities, including conducting assessments, identifying high-impact opportunities, contributing to annual work plans, and implementing approved activities. The project aims to democratize, decentralize, decarbonize, and digitize energy access in Congo and across sub-Saharan Africa.
An accomplished entrepreneur and executive, Ms. Kasole joined RTI in 2020. Her background includes all aspects of business development and management, including operations, finance, marketing, and human resources. She is a skilled communicator with experience leading projects and managing teams.
Her role with PAOP uses her strengths in connecting energy companies, investors, and governments with market intelligence and opportunities for growth. She analyzes the policy challenges surrounding mini-grid and SHS sectors, helping create smart policy frameworks. She has assisted with recruiting, business model development, and other strategies that help companies improve their sales and performance. In the realm of finance, she has helped companies raise equity and debt and worked with local financial institutions on bankable pipelines and due diligence. Her work builds connections between energy and other sectors, such as agriculture, health, and education, and supports USAID’s mission to integrate energy into business activities.
