Carolyn Padovano, RN, Ph.D., brings experience in the technical, research, education, and clinical aspects of health care to her role at RTI. In more than 25 years in the field, she has worked in both the public and private sectors, becoming a leader in health IT.

Dr. Padovano’s specialties include business planning and reengineering, workflow design, clinical product development, on-site deployment of electronic health records and clinical decision software, and health care policy and standards of care.

Dr. Padovano teaches nursing as an adjunct faculty member at Boston College and Johns Hopkins University. She serves on the board of directors for the Roy Adaptation Association and the TIGER Initiative. A widely published researcher, she is the author and keynote presenter of national case/utilization management certification programs and informatics curricula.
