Research Chemical Engineer
- PhD, Chemical Engineering, University of Houston
- BS, Chemical Engineering, Purdue University
Brian S. Turk, PhD, plays an instrumental role in research, development, and commercial deployment of different enabling technologies for removing undesirable contaminants from warm syngas generated from gasification of carbonaceous fuels. He uses high-temperature, solid-state chemistry to identify and optimize materials for removal of contaminants like sulfur, mercury, arsenic, ammonia, and HCl.
A member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Dr. Turk actively leads research efforts to move our technology out of the laboratory and into active commercial use. He has been involved in large-scale testing at commercial facilities to demonstrate these technologies.
