Aki Kita has nearly a decade of industry experience in strategy consulting, business model design and innovation, and international development. He is well-versed in integrating quantitative-focused business analysis with qualitative-focused user ethnography to inform actionable business decisions.
Mr. Kita is currently focused on developing market strategy and business model design in resource-limited settings for clients. He is leading multiple market intelligence and user insight efforts focused on sanitation in sub-Saharan Africa and India, as well as advising commercial clients on emerging market entry.
Prior to joining RTI, Mr. Kita served as project leader with the Boston Consulting Group, supporting clients in growth and manufacturing strategy, marketing services optimization, sales force design, and mergers/acquisitions. In graduate school and during his time with TechnoServe and Dalberg, he also gained experience in international development, emerging markets, economic growth, and agriculture.
Mr. Kita has worked in sub-Saharan Africa, India, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
