The mobile military lifestyle increases risks for HIV infection among troops and their partners. In Uganda, RTI, with support from the U.S. Department of Defense HIV/AIDS Prevention Program (DHAPP), is working with the Uganda People's Defence Force HIV/AIDS Control Programme to scale up a comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment program in the military. In other countries, RTI assists DHAPP in epidemiologic research, including sero-behavioral survey administration and training.
