Budgeting and Financial Management
RTI helps decentralized units of local government increase their ability to respond to local citizens' priorities by mobilizing local financial resources, developing transparent local budgeting processes, establishing automated financial management systems, and implementing transparent information and accountability mechanisms. Our strategic approach assesses the needs of stakeholders in the public sector, civil society, and the private sector, and then provides the technical assistance and training they need for improved financial management.
Recent experience includes work in Bulgaria, Indonesia, Kosovo, Mali, South Africa, Ukraine, El Salvador, and Romania.
