Forensic Science Education
forensicED™: Web-based professional development and continuing education for forensic scientists
RTI experts in forensic sciences develop and deliver online continuing education for forensic scientists. Many practicing forensic professionals are not able to attend regional or national meetings for training, but still need to stay current with best practices in their field. These online courses are designed to provide various levels of forensics knowledge and practice in order to train a wide variety of forensic professionals.
To date, we have developed more than 30 courses, with more than 50,000 users attending this training.
Courses have a small fee ($19-$39/hour) and allow users to freely access a course for 90 days.
Additional courses will be available soon.
Each instruction module contains approximately one to two hours of instructional content and is delivered online to facilitate course attendance and completion. The rich content courses are delivered in a live setting, in addition to on-demand, self-paced instruction. Upon completion, attendees will receive a certificate of completion and, where appropriate, accreditation for the courses.
