Carbon Capture
We are developing technologies for capturing carbon dioxide for large fossil-fuel power plants. We are working to develop and demonstrate a carbonate sorbent-based technology that removes CO2 from post-combustion flue gas in existing coal- and natural gas-fired power plants. RTI engineers are also developing a high-temperature, sorbent-based technology that removes CO2 during the gasification of carbonaceous fuels.
