Direct Sulfur Recovery Process
As a complement to our High-Temperature Desulfurization System (HTDS), RTI has developed what we call the Direct Sulfur Recovery Process (DSRP). DSRP converts sulfur dioxide (SO2) in the HTDS regeneration gas into elemental sulfur—an environmentally stable solid with potential commercial uses. RTI's DSRP features a single-stage, stand-alone design, and it can be adapted to a variety of SO2-containing gas compositions.
