Hydrogen Storage
We are developing a process that utilizes a chemical hydride, ammonia borane (NH3BH3), to store hydrogen and enable on-demand release aboard hydrogen-powered vehicles. Our focus is on developing an efficient process to extract all of the hydrogen available in NH3BH3 and to enable the cost-effective regeneration of the spent material back into NH3BH3. These hydride-based materials may also be used to generate high-purity hydrogen in a compact, lightweight, portable generator for fuel cell applications.
