Air Quality Research: Focus Areas

Pollution Prevention

We work with government, industry, trade associations, and universities to promote pollution prevention and life-cycle assessment. We conduct field evaluations of technologies, create innovative expert systems and Web tools to enhance information exchange, and develop methods for environmental analysis. Using RTI-developed protocols, we identify the operating processes and parameters that affect air emissions and waste generation to determine available options for reducing pollution.
