Communication and promotion
Good communication with stakeholders is essential to the success of any ICT program. RTI works collaboratively with all stakeholders to understand their needs, raise awareness, promote new capabilities, and build local ownership. RTI communicates program goals and services clearly to build support and encourage participation. Methods used include:
-
Hands-on activities that enable users to experience new technologies and build new skills
-
E-mail and Web-based discussion groups that automate distribution of news by e-mail to targeted groups
-
Video and Web-based conferencing
-
Print materials such as easy-to-read brochures
-
Promotional materials such as posters, t-shirts, and business cards
-
Consensus- and ownership-building workshops with key stakeholders
-
Public promotional events such as Web site/network launches with community and national leaders
-
Communication of M&E results to encourage data sharing and data use among stakeholders through EMME™, RTI’s Web-based monitoring and evaluation tool
RTI understands how critical it is to support opinion leaders who serve as program champions, and to include local and national media representatives in promotional activities.
