RTI China
Opened in 2011, RTI's corporate office in Beijing, China, was established to apply our scientific knowledge, expertise, and experience to assist this rapidly developing world power with the many critical social, scientific, and environmental challenges associated with China's explosive growth and changing demographics.
RTI has considerable project experience in China in public health, air quality, and education. Initial efforts will focus on expanding RTI's work with existing U.S. government clients and multinational companies with operations in China.
Primary technical focus areas of RTI China include
- Public health research
- Air quality monitoring
- Water quality and sanitation
- Energy technology and economics
- Education system management and assessment
Our approach emphasizes collaboration with national and subnational government agencies and development of public-private partnerships. RTI China is developing collaborative partnerships and professional relationships with Chinese researchers, scientists, and policymakers.
RTI China will have a small permanent staff and will host other RTI staff members supporting projects in China.
