RTI Chicago
In 1999, RTI extended its reach to the U.S. Midwest by opening an office in Chicago. Today, the RTI Chicago staff focus on survey research, conducting a variety of studies of health services, education, children and families, and drug use.
Clients currently include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registries, the National Center for Education Statistics, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. In addition to supporting these and other agencies, RTI Chicago is well positioned to serve the needs of local universities and commercial firms from its downtown location.
Some examples of work conducted at RTI Chicago include various longitudinal studies in education, and child abuse and neglect; best hospital rankings for the US News & World Report; and studies of medical costs and expenditures.

Directions to RTI Chicago
RTI's Chicago office is located in downtown Chicago at the corner of Monroe and Franklin Streets. The main entrance is located on Franklin Street. The office can be easily accessed by car or public transportation. It is approximately a 25-minute commute from both Midway and O'Hare International Airports. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) elevated train system provides service to and from both airports. CTA fare is $2.25 per one-way trip.

- Depart Midway Airport going south on South Cicero Ave. (IL-50 S) toward 59th St.
- Make a U-Turn at W. 59th St. onto IL-50 N/S Cicero Ave.
- Merge onto I-55 N/Stevenson Expressway North
- Follow I-55 until it ends on Lake Shore Dr.
- Take Lake Shore Dr. North to the Monroe St. exit and turn left, heading west
- Take Monroe St. to Franklin St., turn right (north)
- Office entrance is on Franklin even though address is on Monroe
