Contamination control and cleanroom products testing are critical in industries spanning the fields of electronics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automotive manufacturing, semiconductors, disk drives, and manufacture of other precision components. Our contamination control and products testing program specializes in testing the cleanliness of gloves, wipers, garments, fabrics, swabs, robot covers, and other consumables used in cleanroom environments.

We have extensive experience, test facilities, and instrumentation to support the needs of commercial and government clients in precision manufacturing operations. In addition to performing standard tests following IEST, ASTM, and SAE procedures, we also develop custom methods and assist with product development to meet the specific requirements of our clients.

Cleanroom Facilities

Our 2,100-square foot contamination control laboratory contains five modular ISO 5 (Class 100) cleanrooms. These vertical laminar flow cleanrooms isolate and protect the test areas, helping to ensure accurate results. A dedicated, recirculating water deionization (18-megohm) system provides all the water for the laboratory. Microbiological testing is performed in a separate 1,500-square foot cleanroom. Access to both laboratories is controlled, and secure storage is available for proprietary samples.

THE RTI Difference

In-House Testing

We do not subcontract out any cleanroom products testing. All cleanroom products tests are performed within our facilities in order to maintain the high standards for which RTI is known. Our policy of in-house testing protects client confidentiality, enables better scheduling, and promotes integration of the various tests performed. In-house testing also greatly reduces the amount of sample handling and thus diminishes the risk for contamination, ensuring higher reliability of test results.
