Energy Research
We develop technologies that seek to generate cleaner and more efficient sources of energy. Through these efforts, we support national and worldwide goals of energy security and creation of reliable, sustainable, and economically viable energy supplies.
Our scientists and engineers conduct applied research and development to solve challenging energy-related problems faced by the power, chemical, and petroleum refining industries, as well as the transportation sector. We work with process licensors, gas processing companies, oil refiners, chemical manufacturers, clean fuels developers, catalyst manufacturers, and other commercial clients, as well as the U.S. Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and other government agencies.
Our energy economists provide detailed, quantitative analysis of the economic benefits generated by new energy technologies. We perform prospective and retrospective studies of technologies and industries, and present measures of economic return for R&D programs as a whole.
