RTI DC
Located in a prime area convenient to RTI's major Washington, DC, clients, RTI’s office in the capital was established in 1983. The office has more than 100 employees who work in health services and policy research, epidemiology, environmental quality assurance, international development, and statistical and survey research.
RTI DC staff contribute to projects funded by a variety of clients, including the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Cancer Institute, the Administration for Children and Families, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
On behalf of these and other clients, RTI DC staff are currently leading a number of program evaluations, including programs designed to prevent and reduce tobacco use, improve self-management of diabetes, and prevent obesity and other chronic diseases. In addition, they are assisting with a review of services for people with Alzheimer's disease, and designing the National Survey of Residential Care Facilities.
With only 20 miles between them, RTI DC also collaborates frequently with the staff of RTI's other capital area office, RTI Rockville.
