Supplier Diversity Initiative
Thank you for your interest in working with RTI International. The heart of our supplier diversity strategy entails the identification and vetting of project partners as well as strategic suppliers in the early stages of our business development process. Therefore, all prospective Small Business Concerns must be able and ready to play a key collaborator role throughout the proposal development and the delivery of services to our internal or external customers. Our policy is to award orders or subcontracts to Small Businesses Concerns if all things, including price and delivery, are equal or more favorable. RTI also provides small business subcontracting plans to its clients when subcontracting possibilities have been identified during our business development process.
Registration
RTI representatives search databases on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Small Business Administration (SBA) Web sites to find prospective suppliers and subcontractors and to validate small business size, self-certifications, and 8(a)/HUBzone certifications. If your company is not yet listed on the CCR site as a Small Business Concern, you are highly encouraged to register on CCR so that RTI representatives are able to identify your firm for future opportunities and to facilitate our small-business-size and status validation process.
Small and Disadvantaged Business Partnering Process
Follow this process to be considered by RTI as a small business supplier or project collaborator:
- Ensure that your company fully complies with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 9.104 General Standards.
- Gain knowledge of the services that RTI provides to its clients by browsing sections of the RTI public Web site:
- Review our current requests for proposals and purchase order terms.
- Subcontracting Opportunities: Identify which of your services and/or product solutions may complement, and also add value to the delivery of, the comprehensive expertise that RTI offers its clients. Then contact us with your specific inquiry and details, including but not limited to current government opportunity or solicitation information.
- Strategic Sourcing Opportunities: Identify which of your product solutions and/or services may be invaluable to RTI’s procurement interests and are also currently needed for RTI’s operational excellence, and then contact us with your specific inquiry and details.
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Corporate Commitment
RTI is committed to complying with federal, state, and local governments' Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization laws by providing small businesses the “maximum practicable opportunity” to compete for subcontracts awarded by RTI under its government-sponsored prime or subcontracts. Further, the intent of Public Law 95-507 and FAR 52.219-9, as well as other laws pertinent to small business utilization, will be observed in RTI’s procurements within the context of the economy, good business practice, and the best overall value to our client. This commitment is consistent with RTI’s Supplier Diversity Policy, which is committed to fair and open business practices.
