Pharmacology and Bioassays
As a part of drug discovery activities at RTI, our pharmacological chemists screen chemicals and chemical compounds for desired biological activities. To do this, we use bioassays based on a 96-well format. We ensure the security of all client bioassays performed at our facilities, and complete confidentiality agreements are available to protect all patent rights and other proprietary information.
Capabilities
Our standard pharmacology lab capabilities allow us to develop and run a variety of biochemical and phenotypic bioassays to examine the effect of synthetic compounds, natural product extracts, or compounds isolated from natural products on receptor-ligand interactions or on cell growth and viability. The natural product extracts typically come from plant or microbial sources.
