Governance and Economic Growth
Effective systems of governance, public finance and management, and vibrant, growing economies are key underpinnings of a society's well-being. Together, they provide opportunities and resources for citizens and the channels through which governments support the delivery of vital services.
Working worldwide with partners in public institutions, the private sector, and civil society, we pursue innovative approaches and build on best practices to create the foundation for and promote democratic governance and economic growth. Our goal is to help build more effective, accountable, and responsive institutions and policies at the national, regional, and local levels of government.
Our approach to democratic governance and economic growth reflects both our long-standing commitment to developing cutting-edge technical assistance and our extensive experience in developing, transitional, and post-conflict environments. We strongly believe that a cross-sectoral approach involving a broad view of democratic governance and economic growth—often incorporating service delivery and the social sectors, such as health and education—achieves the best results.

Strengthening the Fabric of Governance in Guinea Through Multisectoral Interventions
In Guinea, governance structures have long benefited few at the expense of many, obstructing stability and development. RTI is working to improve the lives of citizens through strategic interventions that produce tangible benefits while strengthening the fabric of governance required to extend such benefits to all. RTI implements interventions in health, education, agriculture, and natural resource management.
