Behavioral Health Economics

Our research in behavioral health economics analyzes the benefits and costs of treatment programs and health interventions that target mental health and substance abuse problems. We examine the quality of and access to various prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services working to reduce the human and societal costs of substance abuse and mental illness. Additionally, we investigate how organizational structures, financing, cost, and service delivery relate to access and quality of care as well as treatment outcomes.
