Biography

Brent Rowe is an economist in RTI's Technology Economics and Policy Group. He has expertise in the evaluation of innovative technologies, the development of economic impact models, and the analysis of technology policies. Mr. Rowe has analyzed the adoption of new technologies and standards by such industries as semiconductors, biotechnology, and information technology. Over the past several years, he has participated in numerous studies aimed at identifying the costs and benefits of a variety of techniques and technologies seeking to improve cyber security and border security. Mr. Rowe has presented his work at numerous conferences and has published articles in a variety of journals. He also recently coauthored a book entitled Cyber Security: Economic Strategies and Public Policy Alternatives.
