RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- RTI International has been recognized as the Prime Contractor of the Year for 2006 by the Asian American Business Roundtable.

RTI was awarded the honor in recognition of its dedication to providing small, disadvantaged or minority and women-owned businesses the opportunity to compete for RTI subcontracting projects. Bob Helms accepted the award on behalf of RTI at an awards dinner in Rockville, Md., Nov. 10.
RTI was nominated by Information Technology Solutions & Consulting (ITSC), a woman-owned small business that has served as a subcontractor to RTI on several government projects. ITSC consists of health care and information technology professionals who offer analytical and consulting services to federal government and private sector clients.

The Asian American Business Roundtable accepts nominations of companies large and small from all over the United States using selection criteria that include company size and projected growth.

The Asian American Business Roundtable was established in 1989 to help Asian and other minority-owned businesses access federal procurement and expand their market base in both government and commercial sectors by providing accurate and timely information that enables better decision making for their companies.
