James C. Hersey
Senior Research Psychologist
James Hersey, PhD, is a senior research psychologist with more than 30 years of experience in designing and analyzing the evaluation of health, nutrition, and health promotion programs and social marketing campaigns. He has directed a series of evaluation projects of health communications and social marketing programs including national, state, and local programs in tobacco control, nutrition, obesity, and prevention of chronic disease. Projects have included evaluations of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) education in seven states, an evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of public education for adult immunization, and an evaluation of programs designed to prevent complications associated with diabetes.
