Nancy McCall
Senior Health Economist
Nancy McCall, ScD, possesses a unique set of clinical, analytical, and policy skills. Over the past 20 years, Dr. McCall has amassed considerable experience related to the conduct and supervision of large-scale data collection and research efforts and use of Medicare and TRICARE administrative data sets for assessing the cost, processes, and outcomes of care. Dr. McCall is currently the principal investigator of two CMS-sponsored projects evaluating Phase I of the Medicare Health Support Pilot Program under Traditional Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) and the Medicare High Cost Beneficiary Demonstration. Dr. McCall is also currently engaged in a number of research projects for the TRICARE Management Activity ranging from studying existing variation in current medical practice, factors associated with it, and implications of any variation for cost and quality of MHS health care to assisting in the development of new approaches to more accurately finance the care of covered beneficiaries, including prospective payment.
