Donald T. Mon

Senior Director, Center for Advancement of Health IT

Donald T. Mon, PhD, is the director of standards and interoperability in the Center for Advancement of Health IT. Previously, Dr. Mon was vice president, Practice Leadership, at the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) where he led the implementation of AHIMA's top strategic national and international initiatives, including the electronic health record (EHR); the legal EHR; personal health record (PHR); health information exchange (HIE), privacy, security, and confidentiality; vocabulary, terminology, classification, and coding systems; quality measurement; and reusing clinical data.
