Justin G. Trogdon
Health Economist
Justin G. Trogdon is an expert in estimating the costs of disease to society. His recent research, which has included obesity, chronic disease, cancer, and tobacco, has found that cancer costs will more than double in some states by 2020 and stopping the increase in obesity rates could save nearly $550 billion in two decades.
Dr. Trogdon has managed projects for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, and American Heart Association. His technical expertise includes a variety of econometric and statistical methods. He also conducts program evaluation and cost-effectiveness studies, studies systems modeling of cardiovascular disease, and researches the impact of social networks on obesity.
