Gordon H. West
Vice President, Business Strategy and Communications
Gordon West has more than 35 years of experience working in international development. He currently serves as the vice president for International Business Development and Marketing for IDG. He earlier served as RTI's chief of party for the Indonesia Democracy Reform Support Program, where he led a team working with Indonesian experts and nongovernmental organizations to advise and advocate on key democratic reforms, including parliamentary, electoral, media, and local governance reform. Before joining RTI in 2005, Mr. West worked in USAID's Asia and Near East Bureau serving as the bureau's senior deputy, as mission director in Bangladesh and Cambodia, and as project manager for programs promoting economic growth, good governance, and reliable infrastructure in the Philippines, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Egypt. Mr. West also served as director of economic restructuring for Eastern Europe and, as USAID's senior reconstruction advisor, advised on post-conflict response and coordination while helping create a new Office of Military Affairs in 2005.
