RTI International Makes Triangle Business Journal's 30 Best Places to Work in the Triangle List

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.—RTI International was named among the Triangle Business Journal's 30 Best Places to Work in the Triangle for 2009.
"These awards are a testimony to the good work done by businesses in the Triangle that recognize that their people are a company's most valuable assets," said Triangle Business Journal publisher Char Grunwaldt. "The emphasis on keeping workers happy and productive is clearly evident among these 30 winners."
Among the employee benefits for which RTI was recognized were a 403b retirement savings program, an Employee Assistance Program, flexible spending accounts, tuition reimbursement and an onsite childcare facility. Other noted perks included the onsite cafeteria and flexible work hours.
RTI was named among the top 10 companies in the large size category. The other companies included EMC Corp.; Eye Care Associates; Rex Healthcare; ABB Inc.; Duke Raleigh Hospital; iContact Corporation; Lockheed Martin; Red Hat, Inc.; and Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company.
Winners were chosen based on an employee survey process conducted by Quantum Market Research. Once nominated, a company needed to meet a threshold in employee participation (a percentage that varied based upon the size of the company) to be eligible for this honor.
The awards went to 10 companies in each of three size categories: small, midsize and large.
