 Web-based professional development and continuing education for forensic scientists
The Center for Forensic Sciences at RTI International is working with the National Institute of Justice (cooperative agreement number 2007-DN-BX-K208) to develop and deliver online continuing education for forensic scientists. Many practicing forensic professionals are not often able to attend regional or national meetings for training, but still need to stay current with best practices in their field. These online courses are designed to provide information for various levels of forensics knowledge and practice in order to provide training to a wide variety of forensic professionals.
Each instruction module contains approximately one hour of instructional content and is delivered on-line to facilitate course attendance and completion. The rich content courses will be delivered in a live setting, in addition to on-demand, self-paced instruction. Upon completion, attendees will receive a certificate of completion and, where appropriate, RTI will seek accreditation for the courses.
