Biography

Brett Hauber has over 10 years experience in health and environmental economics in academic, governmental, and research settings. Prior to joining RTI Health Solutions, Dr. Hauber was a policy analyst for the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Executive Office of the President and an economist in the Center for Economics Research at RTI. He is currently head of the Health Preference Assessment Group and senior director of health economics at RTI. His primary area of specialization is discrete-choice analysis of revealed- and stated-preference data of consumer demand. In his current role, Dr. Hauber oversees RTI’s efforts in health-state utility assessment using conventional techniques such as time tradeoff and standard gamble. His work also includes studies of patient- and physician-stated preferences for pharmaceuticals and other interventions as well as analysis of risk-benefit tradeoff preferences.
