Biography

James Hersey, PhD, is a senior research psychologist with more than 30 years of experience in designing and analyzing the evaluation of health, nutrition, and health promotion programs and media campaigns. He has directed a series of evaluation projects of health communications and social marketing programs. These projects have included an evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of public education for adult immunization; an evaluation of programs designed to prevent complications associated with diabetes; and evaluations of national and community-based public social marketing campaigns in tobacco control, nutrition, HIV prevention, immunization, and chronic disease prevention.
