Biography

Stephen Beard heads heath economic and European operations based in the RTI-HS office in Manchester, UK. He has more than 20 years of experience in the application of mathematical modeling and decision analysis within academic, government, and industrial organizations. His work involves the management of projects using health economic and statistical modeling techniques to explore disease progression and the impact of treatment across a range of areas, including oncology and infectious disease. He is a member of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics Outcomes Research, and has presented and published in numerous conferences and peer-reviewed journals, including European Journal of Health Economics, British Journal of Cancer, and Pharmacoeconomics. He was previously responsible for leading a team that produced a rapid review health technology appraisal report for the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence in the UK.
