Biography

Brent Rowe is a senior economist in RTI's Technology Economics and Policy Group. He has expertise in the evaluation of innovative technologies, the development of economic impact models, and the analysis of technology and security policies. Mr. Rowe has led numerous studies looking at issues surrounding the adoption of new technologies and standards by such industries as semiconductors, biotechnology, information technology, and nuclear energy. He has particular expertise in assessing the economic factors—e.g. incentives and disincentives—associated with cyber security and border security. Mr. Rowe has presented his work at numerous conferences and has published articles in a variety of journals, as well as coauthoring a book entitled Cyber Security: Economic Strategies and Public Policy Alternative.
