Robert Timmons, PhD, is a public health expert with more than 30 years of experience developing, managing, and advising on maternal and child health, reproductive health, including family planning, nutrition, and HIV/AIDS programs. He has substantial experience in service delivery, health systems strengthening, and institutional and management capacity building. He has developed program and project strategies and led maternal and child health and reproductive health interventions in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
A large portion of Dr. Timmons’ work has focused on policy and systems reform, particularly in decentralization, sector wide management, health economics and financing, gender equality and social inclusion, and public-private partnerships. He has designed and led research and evaluation strategies and activities, and developed local and national health information systems.
